Nerrida's weekly tip 1

Nerrida's tip

TIP: Don't buy it in the first place!

Nope, don't! You can pick it up in the shop if you want, then read how bad it is, and then put it back and walk away.

If it's not in the house, then you can't eat it when your bored or craving something. Stock the pantry & frij with good but yummy choices so if you do eat extra, at least it's healthy.

Trina McClune had a fascinating converstaion with herself on her blog this week about her struggles with cravings - read more here.

  1. great tip Nerrida.... Another good idea is to always eat something BEFORE going to the supermarket, so you are not hungy, and wont be as tempted to buy anything not on your list.
Have a great week ladies :) see you Wednesday for weight in :)

  2. Ahh yes - that is a good idea. I know if I go to the shops hungry, I often end up buying a snack food that I shouldn't have (especially of the kids are with you and bugging you for something to eat!)

  3. Yes, all great advice. Also, best to go shopping without the kids. I know they say I want, I want quite a bit on the few occasions I have to take them.
I'm pretty good usually. Hubby goes shopping on a Saturday and comes home with things I wouldn't buy. Lollies for one.

  4. yes, same here. I keep having to remind him that we are supposed to be eating well!!!

  5. just something for nothing here..... My Mum told me the other day, she read that there is the same amount of fat in 3 cooked sausages as their is in a whole family block of cadbury chocolate !!!!! I would never have thought that !!!!

  6. Oh joy. We had chicken sausages for dinner.

  7. LOL - That's funny Dale. We used to buy the organic Woolworths sausages till they changed the recipe to a fattier one and you should have seen the fat that dripped out of the health grill - it was disgusting.

Your suggestions are welcome and we thankyou for your comments.
